I used something similar to Smokyray, Rustoleum Flat Black "High Heat". I used it to touch up some scratches and it matched up really close to the factory finish they put on the exhaust tips. I also found this tool works great to straighten the tips out if they get out of round. It's designed as a spreader for GM exhaust manifolds, but works great in this application as well. One of my exhaust tips was almost egg shaped after going up the Top of the World trail recently in Moab. They both look like new again after straightening them out with this tool.

In and Out spray is great for dressing up the engine compartment. I clean the engine compartment with Simple Green. Using In and Out I spray all the plastic and rubber parts under the hood. It’ll really make it look good as new.

Looks good. Does it leave a greasy residue on the parts?

It dries for the most part. It will be slightly tacky to the touch, but nothing like an Armor-All.

Couple of months ago I cleaned my daughter’s 2014 Nissan Rogue engine compartment. It had never been cleaned. After the Simple Green, I used the In and Out Spray.

Mine are scratched a little also, haven’t had time to look into repainting them, but a quick spray and cleanup on the black exhaust tips with wd40 is fast, easy and cheap.
