I wasn't very happy with customer service when I did mine back in 2012. Sw Said the bolt pitch was correct. I bought new header bolts myself. Also the instructions back then were very vague. They were not much help in my case. But got it figured out, the sound is awesome.

Stainless has two versions. Stainless works are made in America. Stainless power are made in China.

I just found that out. I know I have SW as the shield they welded on them. For now here is the hoard of parts I drove home that has the SW boxes. So unless they put the same label on then I have no way of verifying.

If it has the SW badge on the front tube, they are American and some one really dropped the ball.

I think the Stainless Power have a minimal flange design. The SW are beefy like shown in his picture. I could be wrong though, I've only seen pictures of the Stainless Power.

Before I post the resolution, I want to make sure everyone is clear that business do have mistakes and no business is perfect. Frankly if a business is perfect I wonder what are they hiding but that is me.

The mark of a great business is not whether they have mistakes but how they rectify these mistakes. In this case I called Stainless Works and reached the tech I had been working with and also spoke to George who posted on this thread. He had seen this thread and agreed it was upside down and no clue how. Without any issues he asked for my address and overnight a new header so I can finish the install.

Whether you had a bad experience in the past with SW over the bolt issue, in my situation they saw the issue I had and made the proper steps to correct the issue. This to me is a sign of a great company as they admit the fault, resolve the issue and we all move on. So to SW thank you for the prompt fix and I will be a returning customer as my needs arise.

Sorry yes we got these all done and did a 190 miles of offroad Friday plus the 200 paved miles with no issues. Through 1 code but cleared it and forgot to write it down. But the entire day of driving no more codes. Buddy has a video of a drive by so one I have it I will post the sound clip. Does sound very mean.

To the OP if you care to add these notes to your post for install.

1. Remove the drive axle to the front differential. Makes it easier to get into access the nuts for removal and install.

2. Remove the driver side heat shield, again to give you more room.

3. Install the 4 lower bolts so you can slide the headers down onto them so you get your alignment. This also means you already have them started so you don't have to use the force to find the threads.

4. You do not need a lot of silicon on the flanges. Put a bead on and spread it around with your finger. (use a glove as it is a pain to get off skin)

5. Have a buddy who has small arms and hands help tighten the bolts to the head. If you have bear paws like me you hosed.

6. You only need to put them to 45-50 LB pounds so don't go crazy on tightening.

7. If you use the bolts you may need to re-tap the holes to get the stud out. It is a 10 mm 1.25 thread. DO NOT force the bolts in. Common sense but a friendly reminder.

The install is not as bad as people say but that is because I have a lift at the home shop. If you don't have a lift this would have been a nightmare. Take your time as it is a slow go to get the parts out.
