For the 2013's (at least for mine), both lines had to be cut. You will see that the hard line is crimped onto the hose (rather than screwed into the hose, like the hoses you are replacing them with). That is the reason for cutting the hardline in the first place. If you are able to unscrew the hardline from the hose then you can avoid cutting them altogether. If you attach pics of your hardline, I can confirm if you need to cut them or not.For the rear lines (from the caliper), you have to cut both hardlines? Or is it just the passenger side? I have a 2013 MY.
I know for sure I had to cut the passenger side, I just didn't bother looking at driver side. And I started to confuse myself because everyone only showed pictures of the passenger side.
