I've had a set of them (smoked red) for 2 months. After the first couple of weeks I had to get one replaced under warranty due to it holding a couple inches of water after a rain. Understandable, stuff happens.

Even with stock front signal bulbs, they would randomly work fine and sometimes not. The left side worked more often than the right side. They would never flash correctly when my parking lights were on, only when they were off. I even attempted to install a load resistor on the front signal in an attempt to get them to flash correctly all the time. I finally just gave up and put my stock lights back on, everything flashes perfectly again.

I know others had good luck with Spyder, but not so with me. I'd assume it's the load resistors that are mounted on the back of them, but IMO it's pretty unlikely for a resistor to fail. I contacted them a week or so ago to send them back and get fixed or a set that actually does work. Their response was that they are out of warranty and nothing they can do. Apparently they have a 30 day warranty, with a company that won't stand behind their product for more than 30 days is pretty ******. First and last time I'll deal with them, told them the same thing and I'll make sure others know about they're awesome standards.

In a last effort to get them working, I ordered two pairs of 6ohm 50w resistors and will put one on each tail light socket. Don't know why I'm wasting anymore time and money with them, but WTH... I'd really like to have LED tails.

Sorry to hear u had problems. Mine have been fine for over a year now. I had a set on my last truck for years and they worked fine also. Even tho bad resistors isn't common it is possible. I hope u can get it worked out so u didn't waste money on them....

I appreciate it. I call it the Calloway Curse, if something bad is to happen....it'll happen to me, haha! Resistors should be here by weekend so I'll tinker some more, hope they work and least if the ones that are on the lights now are bad this would solve them 100%. Fingers crossed!!

I've tried using the load resistors for my sequentials on the 2013's with little success, it almost seems to be too much resistance so I've built marker light resistors where I can change the bulbs inside to adjust the amount of resistance.
It's 2 side marker lights connected in parallel to have one help cancel the other in adjusting the resistance. Haven't been able to really try it on the 2013's but had good success with the 2012's except for my last truck it just wouldn't take it. Some Raptors the tolerance is set so minor that if it's not perfect it hyper flashes. So I just stopped selling sequentials for the 2012's and 13's until I can get this figured out.
Damn FORD and there hyper flash warning bull crap.

I'm guessing sequential for the front?

I'm betting your right, if it's not perfect amount of resistance they hyper flash. With the Spyder's I've tried with and without LED front signals also in conjunction with 6ohm or 3ohm resistors. In every situation, they always hyper flash when parking lights are on.

Yet I can put LED front signals with stock rear signals and works perfect, no load resistors at all.

In my last install they would work fine if the truck was not running and once you turned it on Hyper flash would start. So strange..

I just don't see a big enough difference in the brightness of the tails, stock vs. LEDs to justify a change yet...other than for looks, but still would need to tint and clear coat the lenses...

Additionally, I was under the assumption the any resistors were built into the Spyders...

Maybe RSI can come up with something that looks as good as their headlights?:winner_second_h4h:
