My winter project was to pull out the original bed liner and so a spray in liner. I also sprayed my running boards, roll bar, and front & rear bumpers. On the boards and back bumper I put a little silica sand in the mixture and it really makes it ant-slip. The bed was shot with black, and I tried the tint-able on the other parts using PPG Tuxedo black, but first coat came out more like charcoal, so I added some of the black spray, and not sure I can really tell now. But very happy with how everything came out. To be honest the bed was a piece a cake to spray, and went really fast. But the other parts, especially the round parts, was time consuming and tons of over-spray. For this project I used the U-POL Raptor Liner product.

Some of the parts are a little dirty, as took these after returning from the sand dunes.

I helped a friend do a roll-in liner one time and it turned out great.....until about a year later when most of it chipped off. And he never really put anything back there. I'm really curious to see how this DIY spray in liner holds up and how hard it was to do and total cost of everything.

Do you think spraying it is the best? I saw that you can also roll it on. How has it held up?

I did a roll in liner around 10 plus years ago when the kits were just hitting the market. It did not look as good, but it could have been my rolling technique, or how the formations have changed now.

It has only been a few months, so hard to say on how long term will be, but I think that is mostly related to the prep, and I did everything I could to make sure the surface was sanded correctly, and very clean.

spray liner looks good, but I'm more interested in that removable tire rack and roll bar. Is it just bolted in? Who's is it?

The DIY spray on works well, I've sprayed my wheel wells with it over a year ago and I don't have any chips in it. I think the key is getting it properly sanded before your first coat, then applying a little at a time doing a lot of coats.

Off topic... How do you like the procharger? I can't say I've seen one on a Raptor. Seems like they're all whipple/roush on these trucks.

It is custom made. I bought it from a guy in California, and then did some customizing on it adding the third brake light and tire mount.

I was going after the old school look.
