Can you feel a difference in performance with the SPD catted down pipes?

Hard to tell because I did exhaust at the same time. But I could feel a difference after putting both on compared to stock.

The default cat they use is only a 400 cell.

Factory is 500 cell, most likely.

There's probably very little power gain with a 400 cell cat, you should be using minimum 300 and ideally 200 cell. I think getting it with 400 is a waste of money

From my experiences 200 cell HFC will more then likely throw a CEL in the newer cars/trucks. Some vehicles systems are more sensitive than others. You may get lucky but it seems Ford and Audi's emissions systems are pretty sensitive from what I've seen on forum post and experiances

Even with an O2 extender my wife's car throws the occasional CEL when the engine has a heavy load (AC on a medium setting and getting on the gas). I picked up the Vibrant 11619 J-Style Oxygen Sensor that has a adjustable flow and will see it that helps w/ the CEL issue.

Not totally sure about 300 cell, but 200 cell will. That is what Stainless Works uses and they do throw a CEL. However, this can be eliminated with O2 extenders.

Yeah, O2 extenders always work.

No reason to not use 200 cell cats or you are just wasting your money for very little HP gain.

O2 extenders are often times referred to as defoulers and basically pull the senor a little further from the 'stream' to trick the 02 sensors. They come in many shapes and sizes and can be had for around 20 bucks, give or take.

Yes i know exactly what they are... when i asked him to be specific i meant with a model number of a particular spacer since there is usually one that works with well with a given downpipe.
