Did a quick search and did not find the answer. If I purchase a set of new OEM shocks to swap and send old set to send to Fox 4 rebuild. Does it need to be calibrated or is it just plug and play?

so do you know what is being "calibrated" like does it need to know where the "sag" point is when truck is sitting on level ground without any additional weight?I’m not the greatest to respond, but I did have my shocks replaced via TSB for the “clunk”.
When I got back from the dealer I recalibrated using ForScan, they were very far off being zeroed out. After calibration I found the initial plushness of the shocks was greatly improved.
Since then I’ve recalibrated once the shocks broke in a bit which improved the ride again.
I’ll be recalibrating every 5,000 miles or so.
Ride height sensors are what’s being calibrated. There is nothing in the shock itself that needs any sort of programming. This can be easily done with forscan and you just tell it roughly how much gas you have.so do you know what is being "calibrated" like does it need to know where the "sag" point is when truck is sitting on level ground without any additional weight?
