So I was putting my stock stuff I took off of my truck away in storage and I wanted to double check the plugs I took out and replaced with the SP542s. For the hell of it I did a search on the part number, CYFS12PCT, and it comes up as a SP 527 plug? I know I read about 534s, 550s, and the 542’s, but don’t recall seeing anything about a SP 527 plug being used from factory. Anyone see this? Or is my research wrong?

SP 527 are for 2.0 Ecoboosts and 2.5 n/a engines. I'm not saying they won't work in a 3.5 Ecoboost. I don't know, I run SP 550's.

Were you having hesitation issues before swapping the plugs?

Yes I was actually. So for the hell of it I just swapped out the 542s for the stock plugs and double checked the gap to .030. There is definitely a noticeable difference in the driving the truck between the two sets of plugs. Even more noticeable at idle.

I don’t know if the 542s are the best plug, but they sure help.

Are the SP 542's a Ford part? Getting my oil changed for the 1st time at 1k to go full synthetic. The dealership owes me a favor so thought I'd have them install them while it's there. What difference will I notice in the truck? Excuse my ignorance on this. This is the 1st thing I've owned with spark plugs in 25 yrs.
