Sooo, headers will be roughly a $2500 endeavor, should I?

Get them. I didn't personally have the coating and never had an issue. @Yukon Joe has the coating and he melted something on Snoball. That was probably inevitable though. Who is willing to install them for $250?

I say go for it! You won't regret it. I have had SW 1-7/8 on and the Borla 1-3/4 off road headers. The Borla set up was amazing and loud with an instant notice in increased performance and sound, especially off the line.Put a 5 star tune on and it was totally balanced for perfect performance. But this set up was cat-less and the extra fumes just didn't fit my lifestyle so I switched over to the SW with cats. The SW is loud as ****. Just about the coolest sound ever. Loved it. However, so was the drone and had to put the factory OEM resonator back on and it made it much better bur still significantly more drone than the smaller tubes. It also lost low end torque compared to the Borla. Absolutely did not like that after having it with the Borla. This has been my experience with headers.Either way it is a very noticeable performance upgrade and worth the money.

Go for it, it is worth it. I have SW headers and I love them! I would say get them coated! I got the coating on my headers after talking to a few guys about the increased risk of melting parts (wires) by the starter if their not coated.

Plus the coating reduces SOME heat under the hood.

going to do it, tempted to bite on the stainless power 1 7/8" for the discounted price, but I have read a LOT about 1 3/4" providing better low end on a mildly modified truck (cat back, tuner, intake) like mine.

Was looking for dyno runs with both sizes, but can't seem to find much definitive.

I'd go for the 1 3/4. It more realistic and gives you more usable power. These truck are pigs and need the low end

Does anyone know of a good source of dyno sheets comparing 1 7/8" to 1 3/4" on NA trucks?

Bane,
My rig is modified slightly...Corsa Extreme and Intake. I would like to throw in a Whipple in the future (6 months). Would you recommend 1 3/4" or 1 7/8"?

Finally got mine and a retune from svt. Sound Is amazing and definitely more power. Good price on install-250. I paid American racing headers about 500 for mine....2300 out the door 1-3/4 with cats. Was never able to stand on brakes and do a dukes of hazard burnout takeoff until now! The kid in me hears the horn everytine I do it!

Let her rip!
