I have a C&R/Shelby heat exchanger for my Shelby and I thought it appeared that you had changed the inlet/outlet. Guess I could modify and use it since I haven't taken time to install it on the car yet. Im also thinking of going with the upgraded throttle body. Just trying to get everything figured out before ordering.

2010 Shelby, I am in the same boat. Unlike my GT500, I want the Whipple aftermarket warranty so I am going to go with the 'stock' kit and not upgrade the throttle body etc.

I think I would REALLY like to get the upgraded heat exchanger though, as that is definately the weak link on my GT500. Pulls timing like crazy when it heats up.

Whipple is R & Ding an even larger one with automatic fans, it will be easy an bolt-on replacement.

Quote from Whipple Charged:
We have a new heat exchanger coming out with dual fans that is massive. It's 3" x 18" x 24".
It also fits in our brackets so a customer can install without doing anything extra.
Plug and play wiring for the fans, all the fittings/hoses to work. No need to fab brackets, weld, cut, trim..... (end Quote)

Cost, unknow at the moment.

Hope they finish up soon with that.

Well if you upgraded the tune for more hp then it would include a new pulley.
The stock base kit is definitely still shipping with the 3.625 pulley.

I plan on upgrading the throttle body to twin 65mm CJ TB for an additional 1+psi and swapping out to the 3.5 pulley for another 1+psi. Expecting 465-475rwhp with stock exhaust and 10-11psi.

I see you found out for yourself that the kit now comes with 3.500 pulley.

The other thing I have to question is the thottle body you mention.

The Complete Whipple Kit already comes with the twin 75mm thottle body.

If you really want to go all out, get the 172mm mono blade TB, but without building the engine your gonna get in an area you might not want to be in.

The kit does not come with Whipple's twin 75mm TB. It still comes with the stock GT500 twin 60mm TB. Like it always has.

The monoblade will net max gains, but it is a pain in the rear to get the street manners dialed in on.

Your right the the Whipple Kit for the Raptor are the twin 60mm. My Bad

Before I say any more I have to go through my paper work and and find out which one my SVT Ford Tech ordered for me. LOL

I know I told him I wanted to get what ever upgrades there are.

Yup I have the 60mm TB, was just told at the time of my pre-order 11/30/2011 there wasn't an option for that.

One more item on the list. LOL But first comes the HD Nationals Springs that's for sure

One side note to myself:

Don't go on the forums right after coming from the bar. LOL
I knew it came with the 60mm but had a brain fart with supidness on top. LOL
I was wishing that I was able to get the 75mm TB, that I must have made myself believe it, two nights ago.
Even my SVT tech friend called me yesterday and yelled at me for sending him an email that night without even a Hi in the message. LOL

But I have to tell you, after driving for over a half a year I have no regrets, happy with the 60mm TB plenty for me.

The 65mm Ford Racing Thottle Body from Ford Racing Parts, it's a direct bolt on and works with the Whipple Tune.
But it is very pricey and for an extra 10-12 HP, I'll wait till I have money to play with.

You'll pick up more than 10-12hp from the upgrade throttle. Positive displacement blowers respond very well to opening up their intake path with as big a TB and MAF as you can put in front of them.

Cobras have seen as much as +30-40rwhp. I would be surprised if the Whipple tune would work. They usually require some tune tweaking in the idle and light throttle areas.

I will be having my tuner do the following dyno pulls next week
3.5 pulley with stock TB
3.5 pulley with CobraJet TB
3.375 pulley with CobraJet TB

I hope you're able to get good videos of the pull's, I can't see giving the speed shops around here $600 for setup and one run
That's why I got the android app it's something at least, even if the accuracy is not 100%, but then dyno's aren't either with the height of our tires.

Would be nice if the the 6.2 was built like the CobraJet.

10mm difference would be no problem for the Whipple Tune.

but hey, I'll take any gains for free. LOL

Whipple's twin 75mm is a different animal and requires a Tune. I forget now if Whipple has their own, I don't want to put my foot in my mouth again. LOL

They said they did when I ordered mine, but that idle and driveability would be affected.

It's a fine line with these big bore TB's and driveability. Go too big and its hard to tune in the light throttle settings. The twin 65mm size seems to be perfect. L&M made a twin 72mm that people raved about, but they are out-o-biz.
