I found this post to be interesting.
I wasn't the only Raptor owner cruising the West Texas oilfields! Although the SRT is technically a "Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), I wouldn't expect to see one offroading like you would a typical vehicle sporting Jeep badges. I really like the Jeep SRT, but it's more of a novalty vehicle than a Jeep. Also, I'm not sure how much has changed but I had a friend who owned a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and parts suppliers had the Cherokeee listed as a "Station Wagon."
Now to be fair, this poster lives in Canada and presumably works there as well. The Raptor was built for more desert environments, not Polar expeditions.
Lots of guys thought they would be the answer for travelling oilfield roads but that couldn't be any farther from the truth.
