So who's heading to Baja next week for the 1000?

Unfortunately after waiting in line for 30 min. at the border on Sunday morning, I was sent back to Mexico to wash my truck. A quick wash in TJ and then 2 hours to get across. :-(

WTF?....are you saying you couldn't cross the border because your truck was muddy?....

I did that same stretch earlier this year during the 500 (when it was dry)- from Erindira to Santo Tomas via the Rancho Embarcadero road.

We ran the same road in the same direction as you guys did (south to north) at last years 1000....This year we ran it Thurs and it was a fu*king mess!...average truck would not get thru some sections and a few uphills with out 4wd....TT's with 40's would have been fun to watch...

YUP! Everyone with any amount of mud (subjective) was sent to secondary inspection and then back to MX, due to agriculture reasons (transporting soil in to the US). It was happening all day on Sunday - f'ng mess. Local car washes in TJ were making a killing!

I thought that most people knew that by now.

if it is more than dust, pay the $10 and have it rinsed off.
