So what have you done to prepare for TX run?

First thing I am doing is getting my raptor on Friday

Got my:
tow strap
D rings
Air pump
First aid kit
Tire plugs
Helmets and fire ext. coming out of my race gear
Other than that just camping gear.

I'm ready to go in a stock truck that won't even have plates on it yet.

Just the essentials...

We got two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of *******, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Good to hear. Yeah, Kirk said the 15lb. was the size of a scuba tank!

It's the size of a 63cf aluminum scuba tank, it was even a Luxfer branded tank, which is $160 by itself. I loved mine and it made for a great long lasting tank while I was on expedition runs but it just took up too much space and was a bear to lug around. It would literally warp the metal bands on the strap mount from its immense weight. You made the right choice!

The only thing I have done is plan how much this is going to cost (fuel, event, hotel, food). Organize my friend flying in for the trip, yellow tint my back lights, and added some more stickers to the truck.

My buddy and I have them in Gold metal flake and we talked about wearing them to the event, not sure if they are DOT though, I'll have to check. We will probably bring them and sport them for at least one session though!
