So long, Raptor. Hello Tremor!

Well, it has been 1 month now since I traded in my 2018 Raptor. It was just plagued with issues in the 2 years I had it (ordered it new) and spending 2.5 months in the shop in 2 years was just tiresome.

Back in early December I had placed an order for a 2020 Raptor. Early Feb I found out that my order still had not been picked up, and at that time I started having major engine issues (for the 2nd time).

Ford had just released the F250 Tremor package, so I went for it. Ordered it early Feb, arrived late March, right before everything got shut down.

It is definitely a different animal than my Raptor was. 27" longer, 4" taller and 1200 lbs heavier. You can't ordered a Tremor in SuperCab, so this is my first CrewCab truck I've ever owned.

I ordered the Tremor with the 7.3L gas engine, 4.30 gears, the Lariat Ultimate and Lariat Sport packages.

First week the stock wheels came off and I put on 18" Method Mesh wheels with 35x1250x18 Toyo MTs.

I have to say I am very impressed with the power of 7.3L coupled with the 4.30 gears. It definitely moves. The added height, weight and length definitely make it feel less sporty than my Raptor, but for the off road I do, this will be just fine.

Wow that is sharp, you nailed it .

I had the same fate with my 18, got out of it and into a Ram 2500. Since I don’t tow much , I kept it for a year and back into a Raptor . Could not get used to the lazy steering and ride of the Ram again.

I have really been wanting to drive that set up with the 7.3 gas and 4.30’s.

Wow...sharp truck! I did the same thing I ordered a F350 Tremor, 6.7 Lariat Ultimate, twin roof and Power boards to replace my 18 Raptor. Ordered it in November it arrived in Jan and I had a change of heart and wanted to stay in a Raptor. Tremor was just to big for my garage.

Thanks! I have about 18 inches to spare in my garage, much tighter fit that my Raptor was.

I've only got 800 miles on it, haven't done any off road stuff other than gravel roads and playing in our pasture.

It rides stiffer for sure. The Tremor has 2.5" upgraded shocks, but they aren't FOX. One place I can really tell a difference is going over speed bumps. I actually have to slow down now.
