I'll have to get everyone's numbers once I get back so we can figure it out more when the time gets closer. This is the route I'll be taking. A to B will be done earlier in the week but Fort Wayne to Gurnee will be done at some point on Thursday. I'll wait if people will be passing through or I'll head up North and take 80/90 over to Gurnee with some people. I'm flexible when it comes to Thursday.

the route we have is not set in stone....there is one that takes us through Ft Wayne, but lot of non highway roads, see which one the group wants to take...

I'll be keeping an eye here so just let me know what everyone decides. If ya'll left by 5 you'd be in Fort Wayne about 3:30 to 4:30 depending on stops. That means Gurnee by 7ish. That's a bad time to be going around Chicago though.

I'll be heading up from KY sometime Thursday afternoon. Depends on when my co-driver can leave.

Keep us updated. Are you staying in Gurnee? What route are you gonna take up?

The Chicago Convoy is gonna be a big one again...Im guessing at least 12 trucks as of now.

A few points of interest:

The departure spot will be the Bass Pro Shop parking lot at the Gurnee Exit.

Gurnee, IL (Chicago) Sporting Goods & Outdoor Stores | Bass Pro Shops

You can actually see Bass Pro as you exit and it's only a few hundred yards off the exit. Just as you exit, there is a ****** mart and gas station on your right....Stop and make sure you are full BEFORE coming to Bass Pro.

There is a crap load of places to eat at this location and of course if anyone needs any last minute supplies/equipment Bass Pro is open at 9AM.

I believe the current plan is to depart in the AM, around 9:30ish.

There are also a number of hotels in Gurnee if you plan on coming in Thursday night. There is a huge outlet mall also at this location for those that come in early.

Of course more definative details as we get closer. Last year's convoy was great and you can count on lots of laughs when Todd (ShooterAMG) is on mic...

what route are you guys taking out of chicago, I am leaving from the Quad Cities, Bettendorf, IA to be exact and was planning on heading north out of here and thought i could catch up with you guys along the way. also what is the facebook page for the chicago convoy.
