I should be in Toledo about 9 AM headed up through MI on Friday if anyone wants to ride up together.

Timmy, hit me up about your plans. I could possibly meet you out that way. I need to get on my pc and start mappin this out to get a time schedule goin. I'd like to try and meet up with the Chicago convoy if possible.

For those of you that are new to this event the route up MI is faster until you cross the Mackinaw bridge (point of interest) then it is 2 lane highway and it can be tricky in the winter. It is about 532 from Troy MI to Watersmeet with 262 of that is 2 lane.

Coming form the east or south I would go through MI and avoid the Chicago traffic. By the way if you like beef jerky or smoked fish there is a great place along US 2 west of the Mackinaw Bridge called Gustafson's (BP gas station) in Brevort MI. I love the BBQ and Buffolo.

Those of you going through Green Bay be aware of the different detours you can take around the bridge closure on I-43.

Anyone new to our convoy, as the date gets close, we'll be monitoring the SnoBall Channel 1 on the VHF radio. This is the lower freq MURS channel for reference. Also, if you'll be joining, feel free to PM my your cell number and I'll return with mine. Radio is great, but if there is substantial structure in between us, or you're actually running the FCC limit of 2 watts, it might not work. Cell is better before we hit the UP.

Thinking about hooking up with you guys on the way up if that's ok. Coming from Lake Geneva so was thinking about getting ahead and try to pick up with you around Milwaukee on the fly.
