No snow here in northern Alabama, but last night I did have an interesting drive to and from the Nashville airport to pick up my wife. It got up to 70 degrees (in December!) in northern AL and southern middle TN on Saturday, and with a strong cold front approaching that can mean only one thing - severe weather. There were both Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings posted all along the front from Texas through Ohio Valley. I had to pull off the road at Lewisville, TN to let the front pass. At its worst I couldn't see across a two-lane road and the gas station I had stopped at lost power and locked up for the night. When I got back on the road there were emergency vehicles all over the place dealing with trees down and blocking the Interstate, wrecks, etc. The wind was blowing hard enough to continuously redirect the trajectory of the Raptor. I didn't have any incidents myself, but it was not an uneventful night for some. Got back to the house safe and sound at 2:45AM and all is well.
