More important than polarized is that they have sufficient darkness for use during the day as snow reflects from all over (also heavily dependent on the size of the snow grains). Polarized lenses only cut down horizontal reflection off of flat surfaces. So light that comes from multiple angles it does not help much.

I normally will wear a dark set of glasses during the day and when its cloudy or starting to get darker switch to amber. But Amber normally will not be dark enough for use during a sunny day with snow

I prefer the bottle rockets by Oakley (I am not sure how dark they consider these) or I have a pair of Arnette's that have very dark lenses.

Sunglasses with polarized lenses are a must for driving.

I think that's a more accurate version.

The awkward part of the day is when it's still bright but no shadows for contrast. Everything is just white/grey. It can be rough on a sled.

I've been surprised a couple of times on a sled during that time of day.

I wear yellow on the wheeler all year day night. It really pulls the light in. You'll think it would be bad in the snow sun but it's not to me, I gess I have tuff peepers.

Anything to prepare for the battery? My raptor has never experienced this kind of cold. Works fine now, less than a year. I was planning on bringing my mobile battery jump starter and charge it each night, just incase....
