i was looking but didn't see the price for the rock slides, if you don't mind me asking.
No problem! $975 for the sliders + shipping (figure approx $200 freight to a commercial address). Definitely check in with Chris to confirm the price though. I'm sure its dependent on the price of steel to some extent.

Tank, here's a pic of what I was trying to explain before. You can see straight thru these things from the side. I doubt very much that heat buildup will be an issue with this design. Still though I guess it is possible...

That's a good thought! Maybe I'll go that route at the same time I do the wheel wells. My 10 minute 99cent spray paint job in there isn't holding up, surprisingly

Ok I admit my memory is shiat. Help me remember... what's a G4?

Now that we've got some daylight, here are a few pics of the whole truck to hopefully give you an idea of the overall look these sliders have on the truck.

BigJ, first of all, hello. I think it looks fantastic and it is clear that this modification is required only for prevention.

Now I think it requires an update from the front, how about a new bumper for this beast look incredible?

Many greetings and very good to have you here.

BigJ,
I would be concerned that a slider that long only has two mounting point. Far better than the factory steps for sure but in the rocks they may not hold up. Even on the Toyota Tacoma's the standard is 4 mounting points.

Thanks for the thoughts SB. I see what you're saying, and quite frankly I'm not knowledgable enough on the engineering of this stuff to comment intelligently. Maybe Chris or someone from Hefty can chime?

What I can tell ya is this: if I need these, I'm in an "oh ****" type situation. I do not plan to use them regularly as sliders, if ya see what I mean. Instead, they're there to serve as stronger better steps, to prevent a big ole rock from jamming itself up into my rocker or door, and most importantly to me provide a lift point should the need arise. I *think* these will serve those purposes well. I hope to never find out if I'm right about the latter two :ROFLJest:
