I defenately remember reading something about it being six months in the mountain of paper work I received with the truck.

And then there's this: http://www.fordvehicles.com/sirius-flm/radio/
A six-month subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio is included with your new vehicle purchase when the vehicle is equipped with available satellite radio. After the initial six months, you can extend your subscription by calling SIRIUS Listener Care at 1-888-539-7474.

Thanks Jason. Of course the small print is in the docs somewhere (when someone finds it let me know, please).

And Frogslinger, thanks for providing that link. It looks to me like there are 2 services involved: Sirius Radiol and Travel Link. I'll call them again tomorrow to try and find out their story. Since my Travel Link appears to still be working I'm confused and I don't expect they'll clarify it for me except to tell me how much it costs.

Thanks Rich! I don't recall seeing that but I'm sure it must have been in with the docs I got.

And yes, I'm happy I got 2 1/2 months free

Who gives out more than 6 months? The most I have had before Ford was 3 months....

Call them and ask for the retention department. Or try with the menus to get to the department where you cancel service. When they answer tell them you want five months for $20.

Looking around online has netted this recent information:

After 1 month I received a call, just yesterday actually on my way home and the nice lady wanted to renew my service for an annual fee of $77. They waived the balance due, $22, which was 1 month they kept it on while they tried to get me to agree to the very high price. They also removed me from auto renew because I asked for it. Bottom line, let it expire and you WILL get the offer if you can be patient. Make sure they have a valid phone number for you. Total for an annual subscription of Sirius, all channels, $88.73, pretty good deal in my experience.

I let the Sirius expire on the Raptor since I do not drive it enough to worry about, there are only five channels I listen to and plus I've got the 'Pod.

But I waited about a month or so to renew the service on the Mustang, after a lot of letters and f***ing phone calls, and ended up paying $7x.xx for a year but then when they finished with taxes and fees it shot up to $9x.xx for the year....I think it was around $93. This is still cheaper than anything they listed in a letter but it is what they quoted me on the phone and I told them I wasn't interested. I asked my wife if she wanted Sirius reconnected in her Mustang, she said yes, I called them back and reminded them of the previously quoted price and then BAM....$93 for a year.

I have never used Travel-Link, so I cannot provide input on that topic.

I've also heard you can renew for 5 months for $23 (Sirius radio only) but of course they want/get your credit card info so they can automatically re-up you unless you cancel. I'm going to find out what I can do for at least a full year or more.

And apparently this doesn't include Travel Link which they want $77 for.

Another Ford owner reported getting "5 months of Sirius Radio and 12 months of Travel Link for $46.93 including taxes and fees". Not sure how he got it though...
