Yesterday I started off to a new destination, needed my MAP. As I was driving, the following message appeared on my satellite radio- ACQUIRING SIGNAL- and it just stayed that way. I had no satellite radio. The AM/FM bands were there (different antenna). Also, when I chose my MAP, it came up with totally incorrect position and direction, and there was a GPS sign with a circle/red slash thru it on the left of the map, indicating I had no GPS. Which is why the map was wrong. This entire situation lasted a good 20 minutes. By the time I got to my destination I was on my phone GPS, and listening to FM radio. Returning later, I started up and it said SIRIUS UPDATES COMPLETE... So, what must have happened was the SIRIUS radio was updating channels. While it was, it uses the same antenna as GPS, so that was disabled. And rather than saying UPDATING SIRIUS it said ACQUIRING SIGNAL, which is confusing and really not correct. I would think FORD should have been more clear on this message.
