Hey, General. Saw you at the gas station at the end of the day Saturday. We was in the Ruby crew waiting in line for air.

It was so busy, couldn't seem to catch up with either of you...saw your truck just over the hill, but by the time we made it back around you were moved on. Saw Andrew over watching them jump and I think you were there also. Maybe next time!

Hopefully yall come to the raptor event of mine the last weekend in September. Plenty of time for us all to meet up!

My 2 cents

Okay so went to Silver Lake a few weeks after opening weekend and just getting around to posting about the experience. So I'm used to wheeling in a close knit friendly community type of wheeling environment. My impression of SL and especially with regards to social media was the exact opposite. Didn't seem like the majority of people out there are interested in helping out one another in cases of trouble. I didn't get stuck or anything so for me it was no big deal but definitely not what I'm used to out there. Anyone else had similar experiences?

This is why we try and meet up with other FRF members up there - so we have that community. Off-roading with friends is always more fun.

Most SL duners do not go on non-commercialized trails and do not carry off-road equipment with them to help. I have been asked a number of times for jumper cables.

If you need help, ask a fellow FRF member, DNR officer or call the tow company (their trucks travel out on the dunes).

While at Silver Lake a couple of weeks ago we pulled a Hummer out that stuck themselves on the top of a hill, rookie mistake, and on the weekend when the picture above was taken, jump started a Dune Buggy that died. So I like to think there is help available.
