Side lights on Rogue Rebel

@RDFTS, what about getting a flush mount plate for the Rigids and mounting them in your valance under your headlights? I think that's what @The Macf did.

Or, if you wanted something more low profile in your valence, you could grab a pair of Baja Designs S2 Pro Flush Mounts with the Wide Cornering lenses.

From the side view on the drivers side it appears they are high enough. They look to be even with the frame. I'm thinking if you hit in a way to damage the lights, then you'll also be damaging the bumper and skid and the lights would be the least of your worry! How much work are you wanting to do to make these fit behind the inserts Rick? Flush mounting them in the second hole would look clean and looks like they would give you a good lighting angle.

they're more or less cornering lights. I think you can move them inward towards the frame and theyll be ok. I think they're pretty vulnerable where they are now, but if you moved them to the area of the front body mount, they'll be up under there and the light should still get out

I would have to agree, if I hit em then I definitely got other things to worry about. Just not sure how they look in general to the rest of the truck. I've been looking at those KC flex and the second largest dimple hole is about 2" which is practically the same size as the Flex and the length should work too. Even though I can't angle them as much as I could with the Rigid down below, they will be somewhat at an angle. I think I am going to sell these D2's and look at something different.

I don't want to sound/write like a fool here, but looking at your set-up, why not just angle out the hood lights to act as side facing lights? You have plenty of forward facing lights with your bumper light, the one behind the grill, and over the top? (Beautiful truck btw =))- Lou

The hood lights are more like a pin light that goes the distance down the trail. I do have them slightly angled outward to see the side of the trail further down. What I find lacking is when you are sliding around a corner and practically looking out your side window to see what's there on the ground closer to you and its a dark area. Need wide side lighting to light up that ground area that's down low. Not sure if I made sense or not.

I gotcha, thanks for explaining your set up =), I tried to do the same as you, so I put two flood Dually's in my light tower facing out left and right to see better on the sides, good luck =) maybe see you at trr16, look for 97 that's meeee hahaha

Yes, I have a couple Baja Squadrons up high on my rear light tower rack too angled outwards.

Haven't signed up for TRR yet, went the last two years. I am going on the TRR Baja trip a few weeks before that so not sure if I or the truck can swing another run so close together.
