What do most shops do with the fender flares?

Flares are more. I didn’t want to match them anyways so they will just be put back on.

Bed liner type of spray? That should be rock chip proof!

Yep, it’s like a bedliner spray, but not as rough. I’ve ran it against small tree limbs and such and it’s been hailed on with marble size hail. No damage yet!

Usually you have to ask (see pay) for it to be done. I had mine wrapped with matte PPF. Even the shop owner who has a '17 Screw said he wished he did his after.

i came in for the truck **** but can’t see me spending the kinda $$$ on it, I do have Xpel PPf on front end, but agate black impossible to keep looking perfect & already got some battle scars on rear fenders & fender flares in particular. I have “burnt” in slashes on on from a loose strap rubbing on it during a road trip by time I realized it was too late + plenty of scratches from brush.

anyhow reason I mention is, theyre kinda cheap ($130) & come painted & w/ the led light in the case of front. Not sure what it costs to get em done in PPf- but figured I’d pass that info on, if it isn’t a color change you’re looking to do I probably wouldn’t bother w/ it as I’ve found the kinda scratches I get on New England logging type trails would be visible in the PPf too anyhow


I am interested in possibly doing the truck in a Linex type coating though if I keep long term & paint looks tired

Very cool. Didn't even think of a spray option. How easy is it to remove and return to stock form?

A bed liner exterior would be a PITA to remove I assume. If there is a quick and inexpensive method without damaging the factory paint job I have not heard about it. I believe the factory paint needs to be scuffed up for the bed liner material to adhere and not flake off.

Yes, I do not think the painted exterior is easy or even possible to remove. You have to be committed to go the paint route, while the wraps can be removed.

I couldn't live with that (textured) look either, unless it was on an old POS rust bucket.

Those are black rhino fury wheels. I have the same ones. Great wheel and not too expensive!

If I ever get tired of Velocity Blue, something like this or a pearlescent blue will be my choice of wraps.
