Hey all. 1 rear Shock solenoid has been been buzzing like crazy. Dealership is going to try to replace the solenoid but ordered a whole shock just in case. Is it ok to replace just one or should both tears be replaced at the same time?
It’s a 22 with 25k miles on it.
Thanks

They should but in your case, I don't think the dealer will do both under warranty. Either way, I would make sure and have them give you the old ones.

If the solenoid failed, there should be no need to replace the shock.

Also, the dealer is going to retain any parts replaced under warranty, you don't get the option to keep those parts. Ford may want tot he dealer to send those parts back, or they'll be instructed to destroy/discard them.

They ended up replacing just the one shock and said that 25k miles was low enough to not do the other
