Former military? If so, use USAA's car buying service and you can get a good deal. You may have to order one, but the price will be good.

I've searched high and low, halfway across the damn country, for just one Raptor even relatively spec'd to my liking, and no one will deal at MSRP. Even the dealer my family bought a new Ford from less than a month ago wouldn't come off the $5k over sticker!

This is just ridiculous, and looks awful for Ford. Do they not want people buying these overpriced F-150's?

Is my best bet just to wait a couple months until dealers finally get off their high horse?

Whats spec'ed to your liking?

Don't give up man... it's such a cool truck... worth the agony of this god awful process most of us dealt with.

PS: If you find one at MSRP without deadlock capable or with the graphics remember those are easily changed. I agree the deals are horrible looking.

How exactly is it bad for Ford that they have a vehicle that is so popular and well designed people are lining up to pay over MSRP?

I call that capitalism and speaks very highly of Ford and this truck.

Ford isn't making the extra money off of the MSRP markup, genius.

If you don't want to pay over MSRP, that's fine

But don't go blaming capitalism because you're on the wrong side of it this time

Not blaming capitalism at all. Dealers are being greedy, and the people who do buy them at over MSRP are to blame. If no one was buying them over MSRP, guess what, there wouldn't be any dealer markup. Dealers respond to us, the consumer.
