How does it cycle before stopping?

You may have a scarred or bent shaft?

Usually when the IFP (Internal Floating Piston) bottoms out in the Reservoir, you can still pull the shaft out... you will be simply pulling an internal vacuum.

I went outside and propped my foot against the res and pulled. I could not get it to budge. That being said, the shaft seems straight and smooth. I also could not compress it by pushing down on the shock. But I could see that there was recent travel on the shock shaft.

Can you even move the shock by hand when pressure of 150-200psi is in it? Even mine that I pulled off at 8k miles, I can't.
