Pull the rear shocks off or just disconnect them from the axel. let them hang. put the truck back on the ground.. see if the noise is there. if so it is not the shock. if it is gone than it is in the shock and you might have done something wrong. don't put them back on break them down see what is up with them.
Yeah, that’s my next step.

The kit I use is a 21/64 drill bit and a 1/8-27 NPT tap.
Yup. The kit with those little fu ckers was hiding in a kitchen drawer all the time. Now I've got the correct size drill bit, tap, Schrader valves, and even the Teflon tape!20241020_165806.jpg

BTW, you guys keep your shock tools in the kitchen too, right?

I will provide an update after a week or so, but for now the noise is gone. I had power washed in-between my leafs and replaced the isolator pads a few weeks ago thinking that was the problem, but it did solve anything. Well this weekend I put some grease on the pads and the sound is gone completely. So at this point even if the sound comes back, I feel like it's safe to assume the shocks and the rebuild are fine.
