Installed a sweet holster on my center console this weekend. Took apart center console without any incidents and put it all back together but now when I put the shift knob into park the truck doesn’t light up “P” on the dash. All other gears work fine and the truck is in park but I get an annoying ding sound since the truck thinks I’m opening the door while it’s in gear. Any ideas?

btw here’s my holster setup. Dara Holsters.4F43E077-DC78-4F5B-BFA7-361FFC92272F.jpeg 3F8E7790-B8B3-4277-9304-FD415DFCA43F.jpeg

So you’ve hard mounted this, not magnetic, correct?

best guess - maybe something is interfering under the console plastic ?

it looks like this is screwed to the console from the 2nd pic. If so, that’s at least mostly off road worthy, but not sure about crash worthy. The magnet mounts are neither.

Please ensure you practice drawing a blue gun from this holster before you have to use it. Make sure you can clear the holster, index the gun and address whatever potential threats within your range safely. It is very easy to sweep your legs and feet with this kind of position, so draw stroke is very important here.

i checked before I put it all back and it seemed fine. I’ll take it apart again just thought someone might have run into a similar situation when replacing the shifter for carbon fiber.

And yes I will make sure I practice drawing from the holster. Thx.
