A few days ago I reserved a 2-door Rubicon for August 8 in Ouray. Call me chicken if you want, but the rental is going to cost me less than my collision deductible...lol. Renting a side by side in Moab on the 6th. First time to both places and was thinking I'd play it safe on the first time, and can always drive some trails with the Raptor once I have some first hand knowledge. You do have me second guessing though...lol.

Yes all the trails we did were day trips out of Ouray

we had no problem on Imogene or engineer pass. After doing Imogene pass Engineer was almost too easy.

Mineral creek was a bit challenging but the Raptor kicked butt.

I’m on 37” KO2 tires with deaver rear leafs and Geiser springs up front.

For me it was a lot of fun to be able to cover ground quicker than the jeep guys due to the much more advanced 3” fox shocks.

Most the heavily modded jeeps have really wide aftermarket front and rear housings and axles so there’s more “wide” stuff up there than you’d think. As far as being wide sometime passing was tough but it’s that way on some of the trails no matter how wide you are. It always worked out. Stay level headed and work together.

PS. My wife drove Ophir and Imogene which both have some really narrow spots. She did great.

what app are you using to offload/export the GPX data?

I bought their chip and haven’t done any exporting. I put the chip in my garmin and it works great.

It should work in a lowrance too but I never tried it in mine.
