Kenworth's Predictive Cruise Control system becomes standard on the Kenworth T680 on-highway flagship beginning July 1.

What do you think of this? If they continue to install this feature in all of the new models, what would be the outcomes? I was thinking about how it will perform in places like New York or Miami, or other big cities where skyscrapers interfere with satellite signals.

I’d say the acid test would be I81 from PA-southern VA, or I95 from Bal’mer through Richmond. if it can survive there and not turn the truck into a rolling obstacle, they probably have something.

They already do that with freight trains (and more).

It uses both VHF and cell to function.

I was wondering how long it would take the rest of the transportation industry to adopt a variation of it.
