That sucks so bad to see. The only time you should see that view is when you are getting a badass new engine built from the ground up.

Man those bores are so small. I knew they were but seeing them puts it into perspective.

That engine is toast.

why not move forward with your state lemon law?

The truth is, there's not another vehicle on the road I'd rather have. Once she gets a new long block, I will be satisfied and move on.
The dealer she's at now (moved her there last week) has been awesome. If Ford jerks me around with getting the new engine to the dealer, then I absolutely will go the Lemon Law route (and have been in contact with an attorney for just that). It's already been just shy of three weeks, and there's a 30 day downtime provision in the state lemon law, so.....

Do you know yet if the new engine would be a complete engine with new Turbos? New intercooler etc. I would assume yes. I wonder what Ford reuses from the old engine components when a replacement like this happens. Im sure some of the guys here probably know.

I wouldn't bet on new turbos/intercooler coming, but will keep you posted. I've inspected the turbos and they are fine; I would hope the intercooler/plumbing would be flushed....
