Hey guys, I pulled the trigger on a 35!

I ended up buying the whole enchilada from a warranty perspective from the Pierre Ford dealership and the road Vantage. I only did bc he said I can cancel but can’t add. I was about 8k and covers lifetime power train, maintenance, windshields, dings, wheels and etc.

Did I get suckered? Or should I call to cancel?

If you are handy and can self finance repairs cancel the damn thing, I bought an extended warranty on my 16 F150 from Harrison Ford in Lynwood (I think they’re related to BPF) and got taken (sunroof not covered). At least look over the agreement with a fine tooth comb, $8k is 10% of MSRP. That’s a ton of cash, hell that would pay for a new engine install approx alone. I swore off ever buying an extended warranty again.

I would cancel it and get the Ford factory extended warranty from Flood or Ziegler, whoever is cheaper. It's a Ford backed warranty. It should cost 1/2 or less (depending on what level you want) than what you have.

that finance guy sure got a raise, yes you got suckered big time.

Yeah search the forums here and find the good ESP offering dealerships here, dunno if Washington state is like Florida or Cali, but you should be able to drop that by more than 3/4 of the cost, of course dependant on the year/mileage you got.
If theyre a weird dealership they may drag their a$$ to get you the refund on it, could take a month plus.
Ford premium care is what you want

Ok I just talked to the Director of Finance, and he tells me to be careful of those warranties bc they aren’t Ford warranties? I don’t know what that means. I have premium care maintenance lifetime for 2490$, lifetime powertrain and bumper to bumper for 100k miles for $4990 and roadvantage for 1700$ for 7 years, which covers windshield, wheels, keys etc.

Good or not good?

Those are the ford backed plans, cross check that with yours. I had a similar shady stealership have a ford badge over their 3rd party warranty cr*p and tried to say it was ford, or theyll say its better than ford. My service advisor told me he hates dealing with the 3rd party warranties and sometimes they dont cover what they say or make the process horrible, not all, but theres a chance of it.

Either way, thats a metric a$$ ton for that type of warranty. I got my Lombard ford premium care warranty 9yrs 125k for a bit under 3k and it came with a "free" maintenance plan for 4 years (Florida doesnt let me use flood or the other cheaper dealerships for ESPs).

Last one with the windshield or wheels is up to you, but imo the cost to replace all three of those once is less than 1700, esp if you find some take off wheels online.

Got a pic of the warranty paper work?
