I've been placing these in the shopping cart and backing out for a year now.. Do they make a difference? I hate how my pedal is half way to the floor before the brakes start to grab. I can't get my abs to engage on pavement

I think they helped out a bit. These lines along with drilled/slotted rotors and ATE fluid improved the braking in my truck.
As for bleeding the lines, I bought a Motive Products power bleeder and it made the bleeding process a quick one man job.

So, how do you remove the factory lines and replace them with the new ones and make the least mess? Do you just drain all the brake fluid out of the entire system, remove the lines, replace with new lines, refill/bleed? Is that the process? I've bled brakes before but never replaced lines.

It'll just drip while you switch out the lines. Fill the reservoir to the top before you start. Takes about 2-3 minutes from when you break the old line loose til you get the new one tight enough to quit leaking. Then you can zip tie the lines and put the new clips in that hold the connection tight.

Also, on the fronts, you'll put the new copper washers on each side of the banjo fitting at the caliper before you screw the bolt back in.

Like I said, drop the spare in the rear so you can see what you're doing back there. The key is minimizing your time with the lines off.

Then when you're done bleed each corner.

Thank you for the pictures! I decided to pay the dealership to install these because it is too damn hot to work outside. I had to show them these pictures because they didn't know how to route the front lines!:emotions122:

The truck is still there and hopefully they can figure it out.

I believe the L bracket is for the rear lines. Atleast that's the way I installed mine. Here is how I routed my brake lines on the front and rear of my truck. As for the little U clamp (Adel Clamps), I used those on the front to hold the line to the knuckle.
The SDHQ lines are nice and I haven't have any issues with the way I have them routed.

May I ask how much they charged you?

Damn, $250 seems steep. What dealership quoted you that amount? Corpus is my hometown so I'm familiar with the Ford dealerships there.

Autonation where I bought the truck. They are a bunch of idiots. They didn't tie the lines off at all. When I got home I turned the wheels full lock both ways and the lines where touching the tires. Took me an hour and a few zip ties to secure them. This city ******* sucks if you have to rely on someone to do any kind of work for you. $250 didn't seem bad since I don't have a garage for the truck yet and it's really hot and humid even in the shade right now.
