Has anyone replaced/used those bolts to turn them into anchor points? I'm imagining something like D-Rings. But idk if they'd require a longer bolt. If you have, what did you use?

A lot of guys have replaced these with the "Dodge" D-Rings that are used in their vans...Smurfslayer attached the link of a mamber who was selling them all ground down and repainted....I did mine myself, and if the member is still selling, its worth the few extra $ he is charging...its kind of a pain to grind it down to fit the Ford bolt.....You only buy the D-ring...you use the bolts that are in the bed now, just need to grind down the D-Ring where the bolt goes in so it fits flush....They then fold down flat on the bed really nice.

Look up Core Trax much better option. I just installed 2 36” tracks on the bed floor and 2 5” tracks on the bedsides. Total of $70 something dollars shipped from RealTruck. Easy install and much more options and less work than the D ring garbage. They sit recessed in the lower part of the bed so they’re flush.

Yeah etrack is a great idea and I’ve done that on trailers. Not sure I want to drill all over my bed just yet.

You use the same bolt you take out...just need to grind a spot on the d-ring so bolt heads sit flush.L1220182.JPG L1220183.JPG L1220184.JPG
