^ i don't see what the issue is? Ford is stepping up and offering to re paint the fender, sounds stand up to me. At the end of the day it's just a truck from Ford not a Bugatti.
The world is full of flaws, it's easier to just live life and have less worry about the small things.
The issue is that the $72k truck I bought brand new now has 'prior paint'. I treat all my vehicles like they were Bugattis, that's how I was brought up. I should be ever so thankful for Ford stepping up to unfuck the screwed up paint on their product I bought from them. Who's the customer here? I can tell you won't understand..

Are they all going to crack, or do you have defective fenders? Why did it crack in the first place?

I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but your $72k truck was painted in the same paint booth and assembled by the same people that build $25k work trucks. They don't do anything special on the assembly line because "it is a $72k Raptor". You probably would have been more happy with the craftsmanship from a bottom-of-the-line luxury vehicle than a top-of-the-line blue-collar vehicle.

Tell me you aren't making assumptions about my life here... That would be ridiculous.

Well let's see. You started a post on the internet about a small ass "crack or scratch" in your fenders paint which is barely even noticeable, I'd say you're unhappy. Ford told you they would fix it and you still complained over the fix they offered you. What do you expect them to do? Give you another truck?

Go get the fender painted or touched up and enjoy the truck.

.... So anyway....
theory on the cracks in the finish:. It was hot as hell (Denver area) the days that the dealership had the truck for the recall when the cracking occurred. Direct sun in Denver being extremely intense, heats up the composite material that the front fender is made from and it expands beyond the capability of the paint/gelcoat/clear coat, so the finish cracks and opens up.

The fender itself isn't cracked as far as we can tell. I really think it's expansion of that material Ford used and I got a fender painted on a Friday or something. Someone else reported having a crack in their finish a well in this thread.

Fiberglass??

Truck is aluminum.
Lol. This was you murph. Just now realizing you're the 'put more scratches on it' solution. Welcome to the G2 Raptor: the front panels are NOT aluminum. Good stuff man.

^ hopefully you enjoy your mall crawler bruh. I could only imagine the sheer terror you'd experience taking it off road and getting it dirty lol probably would have a melt down.

But on a real note hope the dealer fixes it for u.

Cheers
