Go hit Padre Island National Seashore, South of Corpus Christi. I took my 14 y.o. son and his buddy, we took turns bombing down the beach up to 80 mph or so. I'm sure it's a memory the boys will have for a lifetime. You can cruise down as far as you like, I think we went 40 miles down before we turned around.

I know my son's buddy won't forget hitting a groove and putting us sideways into a sand dune at high speed, his eyes were big as silver dollars. Otherwise the Raptor was Steady Eddie. Bonus if you bring fishing gear.

Ya last time we lived there I went out to port aransas and mustang island but never padre island. I will have to try that out.

Where are you located? I am in Fredericksburg.

North of New Braunfels...basically NB though. We’re eyeing retirement property up your way and out towards Marble Falls area.

I hear there is some public ground you can run in that area - closest tracks I know of are Rally ready and Cycle Ranch, but that's Austin and Houston, respectively. TRR is always great, Trey puts together top notch events. Texplex has the best place to run, but we've been rained out 5 months in a row and it is north Texas.
