In this video, we compare two of the most popular offroad-style SAE fog light replacement options on the market offered by Baja Designs and our team here at Diode Dynamics!

For this comparison, we've used our state-of-the-art Goniophotometer, a device that measures multiple points to calculate the intensity and map out the beam pattern of each fog lamp. We've also used our integrating sphere, which is a device that is used to measure the color temperature of each fog lamp. We hope the data we collected helps you choose the best fog lamp for your vehicle.

Two great competitive options with two different incorporated technologies. With projector-style optics, we can achieve what we aim for, a very sharp cut-off that you would get with an OEM fog light with significant upgrades in raw and measured candela/output. The data posted confirms the performance gains over a factory solution. With many hours of seat time, we have fine-tuned our SAE light to have an extremely focused beam pattern in order to achieve the best driving experience possible. We use a 5000k color temperature in all our products to ensure safety and performance. Including a parts bag and universal mounts, a pair of our SAE Squadrons come out to a total of $349.95 in either amber or clear. All of our products come standard with MIL-STD810G(Mil-Spec Testing), IK10(Mechanical Impact Testing), and IP69K(Waterproof up to 9ft). Many key factors come into play when deciding which solution would be ideal for you and we strongly encourage anyone seeking more information to check out our respective websites.

Can my 2 year old SAE Squadrons be updated with that new lens?
