Running Boards

I wasn't really sure where to post this, but just in case someone else is looking for Screw running boards.

The black coating on my running boards is starting to come off. I thought about getting them linex'd. I went to Tasca Parts and searched for Raptor Running Board.

There are two:

CL3Z-16450-DA and BL3Z-16450-BA The first is ~$850 for the pair. The second, BL3Z is $1100 for one. Looks like Ford sells them for a lot less if you buy the pair. One, what a joke. Two, if anyone is looking to replace instead of linex, go to tascaparts and search on CL3Z-16450-DA. If anyone can tell me if there is a difference, I'd appreciate it. tasca says there isn't and it indeed comes with the pair.

Had the same issue with the coating peeling off. I sand blasted and primed them before send the boards for line x. I shouldn't have to worry about every again. Line X them.

I sold mine and bought nerf bars. I went with Nfab. I like their aggressive look and solid construction.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I would still like to have a pair of the running board extensions that were seen on here a while back. I am not a fan of the mud flaps but those extensions looked very good and would keep the crap off the side of my Gen1. Anyone still make them?

Had mine line-x'd for ~200. They cheaped out and didn't coat the under side thats why they lift.

Interesting.....

St. Charles IL and my running boards just started peeling as well. Over 5 years without an issue then a shit load of snow and cold weather....low and behold coating starts coming off!

I brought them to Linex of Roselle. Great guys. They are stripping and coating them. Underside too. That said, I like the looks of it without the steps.

The bottom edge of the boards on my 2014 keep peeling. I slide under the truck, and when I slide back out, my shirt or shoulder catches the edge and breaks off a thumb nail size piece. I keep gluing the areas with super glue and a toothpick.

Reviving an "old" thread.
Just got my running boards back from linex. It took longer than expected, but they stripped them and did top and bottom. It was supposed to be about $75, but they knocked it down to$43, for both! Just put them back on and they look great.
