Got in my truck in the rain, stepped up on the running board, did the required Ballet moves, and my left foot slipped off the Rhino Coated running board and slammed my ankle against it, hurt like hell , and scared GF and Dog, who I usually blame. I thought it would be none skid, "Wrong" has anyone fixed this, all ideas to make that small area none skid, all my ideas suck. Thanks in Advance

I've personally never had a problem, even tried on purpose and didn't slip.

Maybe wear better shoes? Haha. Otherwise without re-coating it with something coarser, not sure there's much else you could do.

Edit: Haha you beat me to it Ruger!!!!

There is something. Reese Towpower (they make a lot of the tow hitch gear you find at retail stores) makes a stick-on rubber tread material called Sure Step. It's made of EPDM rubber, and its product number 10412. I've used it. It wouldn't be too obvious if applied where you tend to step on the running board, and I think it would solve the problem.

Has anyone ever put any kind of protectant/coating on them (e.g. a detailer)?

They can become dangerously slippery if they do that (not to mention can develop a chalky appearance over time).
