I picked up my running board extensions from OFF-ROAD PERFORMANCE this week. The extensions were well packaged for me, with lots of paper and bubble wrap, but of course airline baggage handlers have a reputation for a reason. So the box came out the other end of a two-leg plane trip looking like it was run through a wood chipper.

The copious bubble wrap held tough though, and the only damage was a tiny nick off the powder coat on one corner. Fixed in 10 seconds with a can of paint.

Passenger side bolted on easy. Fit was nearly perfect. It takes a truly **** person to even notice a tiny gap in one part of it and you need a straight edge to tell it's not perfectly level with the running board. I mean this fit is REALLY GOOD. Like better than Ford's stuff fits together. How do I know this stuff is better made than Ford's?

Well, because when I get to the driver's side, the pieces of metal where the fender bolts on aren't lined up! The holes are offset to where it's barely enough to fit the tiny bolts that hold it in place from the factory, so there's no way the big, beefy bolts that OFF-ROAD PERFOMANCE provides will fit. So, out comes the drill, to loosen things up a bit and get the bolts in.

Overall, my impression is that this is a very well-designed product. If you are cutting and making these by hand, I dunno how the hell you do it cause this product is pretty darn precise!

Honestly this is a very good value for about $100 since those universal plastic mudflaps are already $40. These are powder coated metal, custom made! Awesome deal, very happy.

I put mine on last weekend. I'm also impressed with the fit. It is a great deal for the money. I have been looking for something other than mud flaps, and this is perfect!

Freight train what do u mean they won't work? If they won't fit tightly sand down the linex and bolt them up then re linex the whole step

heres some pics of why i cant figure out how to make it work. one bolthead is linexed over. i could probably get it out by removing the linex around the washer with a utility knife. but how will i get the new bolts in? do you have to pull the flare down on the bottom a little to get the frontmost bolt in? my flares and rockers are linexed together. offroadperformance sent me some installation instructions but it didnt make any sense. any pics and help with the install process? thanks

never mind. i found a few pics on an earlier post that cleared it up for me. im just not sure i can pull the bottom of the flare down enough to get the front bolt in, since its linexed in, as seen in the second pic. its probably got about a half inch of give to it. think i can snake it in there?

Don't know how to help you get the linex off that stuff is tuff. But if you turn the bolt around you should clear. I will take some photos tomorrow and post them of what I am talking about.
