I would like to try and see where the part went wrong with fit. If you could take some photos of the part where it bolts to the truck by the fender. It might be hitting the truck. You can post them here or email me at [email protected].

I took a look and it looks like there is a gap between the fender and the forward wall of the extension, so it's not sitting as tight as it could. When I get a chance I'll loosen the bolts up and see if I can snug it up... it may be I just didn't tighten it down in the right spot.

Either way, it's really not bad, but I can understand you wanting to make sure things are perfect.

We have changed the linex price on FRF to reflect the new price in are store for bed liner. The new price is 180 with Linex.
We also added a new option of Linex with NO UV for $160. This would be a good option for those that wish to have their part fade to match the running board of the truck.

Do you have any pics of the Linex with NO UV extensions installed, or can you get some? I just want as close a match to the OEM running board as possible. Also and just to clarify, would I need to get two, or do I get a pair for the $160? Thanks.

Okay, I played with the extension this morning, and wasn't able to get rid of the appx 1/8" gap between the fender and extension.

What I'm thinking might be the issue is that the location of the factory holes that it bolts into can vary slightly, depending on how "lined up" they come. Remember the picture I had where the stock holes aren't always fully available? My thinking is that I'd either need to drill it out more to allow the extension to slide over more, or widen the slots on the extension to allow it to compensate for the difference for the factory holes.

One idea, if this is a common problem from Ford, is to slightly widen the slots in the extension and use wider washers to allow more adjustment when fitting. It'll make it slightly harder to install, but give us more wiggle room to make up for the variances from the factory.
