I will post an update. The mechanisms and motors are sealed so these should hold against mud/dirt but not big rocks. I read good reviews online but let's see

my tires throw rocks up and hit my stock running boards. ding, ding, ding, wack, ding. i bet those will get rid of that

yeah but while they're hitting the boards just think if they weren't:hmmm2: they'll be pinging off your lower door/paint then! thats the only reason i havent gone this route yet... otherwise the clearance would be amazing!

I have had power running boards on my Harley Davidson for 3 yrs. The truck has gone through rivers been air born on the stock 22and lo pros and been stuck with water halfway up the door for 5 hrs. No problems at all. It finally broke when it was -18 and I stepped on it to move the truck to blow snow. These should hold up really well. And they keep rocks off the truck. I never herd a rock hit the truck until the board was off. Ur gonna love them

before offroading i would be very careful of the rear tow hook mounted lights... i havent personally but depending on how spiritly you drive those could be gone in a heart beat!
