So maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it have been cheaper and easier to replace a bent stock tie rod instead of both paying for a tie rod upgrade and then bending the knuckle?
The knuckle bending takes place near the UCA attachment point. Not near the tie rod, nor caused by the tie rod.

The OP was happy the damage was limited to the knuckle only and that the upgraded tie rod survived the abuse.

Actually I have bent/cracked a knuckle at the bottom near the lower ball joint. Granted I had gussetted knuckles and that held up great so guess it had to give somewhere.

I have learned that taking a 3 ton truck on a bicycle ride is not good on knuckles.
