The pallet was delivered by UPS Freight, which was interesting, because it was the first time I had a "Freight" delivery.. They called a day before saying with a residence they deliver at the street? My guy was cool and used his pallet jack to wheel the whole thing into the garage. Probably not a big deal either way, none of the boxes are to heavy by themselves, but I did avoid several trips back and forth! Enjoy the build, let me know if you have any questions I'll do my best to help, but Roush support also did a great job with all my questions.

Nice :) I got my stage two installed and back in my hands last weekend :) You can see some pics from the install if you check out the Dixie Ford facebook page :)

I also got the ford racing valve covers in black installed as well.. matches the supercharger perfectly.
What a difference the SC makes!!!

Next week it goes off to Steeda for its Kooks long tube headers + Kooks true dual exhaust + custom tune :) In about 3 weeks it gets the brembo big brake package and its new rims / rubber. I just cant stop :D

So quick question for you. If you could have this all installed by Roush for $720 would you have them do it? DIY sounds awesome but, if they install I get their warranty. Trying to decide what to do and asking somebody who just did their own install might give me the insight needed. I have to decide in the next few days before my install discount expires. Thanks for your thoughts.

If it were me, I would have them install it. $720 is not much for peace of mind and warranty.

My answer would be, Yes.

That is a good price to have someone experienced do the install, they would already know all the tips and tricks and would do an excellent job (um the same job people pay $15K for).

I received the same offer from Roush, but ran into a few challenges. First, I live in Georgia, and would need to drive or ship the vehicle to Roush, which of course changes the $720 install price dramatically (they'll need the vehicle for atleast 2 days. So a shipper up and back could be about ~$1,200 to $1,600, or if you choose to enjoy the area for a few days you have the expense of driving your truck, renting a car and a hotel etc... Now, if you live in the area, and don't have those "additional" expenses, don't even bother asking just do it!

Now comes the Warranty conversation.. Here's what I was told from Roush. If you buy the stage 1 525HP and get it installed by a certified mechanic (not DIY) it will have the warranty. However, on the stage 2 version 590hp (my choice).. They will not warranty a third party install at all and "here's the kicker" the will not warranty stage 2 unless Roush gets the vehicle directly from the Ford production line. Basically, they don't know how the motor has been treated after the production line, and aren't willing to warranty the unknown.

I actually entertained the scenario of paying them $720 to install and $1,200 roundtrip for shipping from my dealers lot once I bought the vehicle and was told it was a "no-go" from Roush.. However, if you can get it done, and can get the warranty, the peace of mind down the road was well worth the $1,200 round trip shipping expense to me.

I just couldn't get that dog to hunt!

Darin, where did you mount the feed for your boost gauge? I sent you an email, but I do not see exactly where. There is a port on the back of the intake on the passenger side I could unplug and put a brass fitting in, but the Roush very un-detailed gauge instructions show a T some where.

The supercharger instructions do not mention a boost gauge.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Darin, I owe you hugely! You had several tips that made the install go so much easier. I had one problem with the ACT sensor and even after I triple checked it, I realized I had counted the pin from the wrong side, and had it in the wrong location.

My truck runs great!
Thanks for all the help!

:party28: Glad to hear it Dennis! After 3,000 miles, the truck is great, the sound and power is addictive! I did leave the resonator in my exhaust when I added the Roush muffler, I think it's a great balance between a good rumble, and not something the neighbors will complain about :rockit:

Did you install an oil separator(s)? Just got my Moroso in the mail. After bs'ing online I noticed the repercussions of not using them with a supercharged application. Considering inspecting my intercooler.
