All I will say is.. Looks and sounds like fun. The reality is that it is stressful, exhausting, frustrating.. Waking up on the first day adrenaline is pumping.. Seeing all the cars line up.. Then it starts.. Cops pop up everywhere.. The fast cars kick up a hornets nest of cops in their wake. Since the Raptor is slow and a large vehicle with stickers all over it.. You are the biggest target.. Make it to the first over night stop (600 plus miles from the start).. Check in the hotel.. Rush to dinner.. Get in a taxi or walk to first party of the long week.. Adrenaline is still pumping.. Stay up way to late.. Wheels up at 8am.. Don't over sleep.. Mad rush to lunch time check point. Play hide and seek with cops, get pulled because you are going 2mph over. Now 45 minutes behind everyone else. You have to pick up the pace to make it for the lunch stop. Finally get there.. Have to get it to go.. They ate lining up to leave. Drive another 500 miles before over night stop..
This continues until the last night.. The parties keep getting bigger and later.. Bottle service, VIP areas... It is hard to go to bed in fear you will miss something.
Oh don't forget about the pranks.. Stickers all over the windows, empty beer bottles all over your car. Cling wrapped car, silly string all over, flour in the tail pipes.. Wake up calls as soon as you go to sleep.. Unexpected room service of everything on the menu.. It is mentally and physically exhausting.

Maybe before you guys tare a a person apart you should understand a backround story. I worked for 4 summers in a row for a roofing contractor to make a total of 20000. This was working 90 hour weeks in the summer and busting my ass to make this money. I also rebuilt a chevelle that me dad had and sold it for 30000 when i completed it. I did not beg for this money or like you guys assume just ask daddy. I work for the things that i want. I negotiated for 2 months to get the truck for 60000 and am now working to deliver pizza after school to complete the payments left on the truck. So all of you can stop tearing me apart before you hear the whole story

Nobody is tareing (lol) you apart. Unless you are a complete moron you should be able to see how ridiculously stupid your first post was...

And FYI, if you didn't get a chance to make that search i recommended, squatting dog giving you the advice above is the one who did the bull run.

I read his post before you told me about it i have been reading about this as much as i can. I understand that this is a very prestigious race, and that it is something that is very difficult to get into and complete. I am just looking for some help and advice.

I'm 17 years old and I am a vendor on here buddy... Don't ask for hand outs on this forum. You could have easily saved up if you had a job since you've been wanting to do this for that many years. Find something you don't like on the raptor and start making stuff for it. I hated my center console so I started making those then found out I can do headrests. Now I've branched out and have 5 people working for me. Myself? I just manage ford raptors and Shelby gt500's. (All SVT vehicles in fact). I have someone working for me that manages f-150 (xlt, lariat, king ranch etc.), guy that manages all chevrolet's, guy that manages dodge, and one more that does Nissan. Also have a guy that is gonna manage import cars such as Honda, Nissan, Toyota. I hope to have 10 or more employees very soon. With what I do I am going to be able to help my parents out a lot to put me through college and out of college I'll pay them back for my truck.

Point is. Don't live off of mommy and daddy's money. Help around the house, do good in school, and go to college. Pay them back for that raptor they gave to you. I have paid for every mod, every bit of gas, and every bit of maintenance and repairs... The only thing they have ever gotten me for this truck is my viper security system Christmas 2012... Come on man, and I am not bashing you in anyway, just don't ask for hand outs on the forum.

The closest thing you'll get to free money on the forum is a pretty decent deal on some parts/mods..... Just think of the money you SAVE and not what you're spending :emotions33::naughty:
