Rough Country Fog light kit installed

Just installed the Rough Country Triple 2" cube kit in my 18 SCREW. Kit is only $299 which is quite the bargain compared to the $1000 kits I've seen from other vendors. The brackets and cubes appeared to be of good quality and relatively easy to fit and adjust.

I installed each pair to a separate upfitter switch so I can control the exact output of light desired. Very pleased so far, I'll get some light output pics later

23,000 lumens for 1000$ vs 8,000 lumens for 300$ seems about right. Can you change lenses like the baja designs?

Not certain? The cubes I received were the Black Series. The're a 30 deg spot throw pattern. They include solid covers for rock protection.

It's been done. It's a 1/3 the light output. You can't swap lenses and they usually end up with water in them. But 1k for lights is a hard pill to swallow for most people. And most people arnt hitting stream crossings at 60mph or need 25k lumens worth of light because they drive 100mph at night on gravel roads.

I like baja designs because I use my truck at work at night off-road. But I'm also ashamed at how much I've spent on lights...

It is a decent kit for the money...so far I have been happy with it as well. Light output is good for what I need it for.

When you installed the harness to your upfitter switches did you eliminate the relay that came with the harness of the RC lights?

Yes no need for the relays. I just cut out and used the positive and negative wires for the light kit

I’ve got inexpensive lights and B/D lights that I too am not willing to publicly admit how much I spent on them. Even though I bought them all on sale.

SO I SAVED. I thought that meant something to you penny pinchers

I did skimp and make my own mount from angle aluminum, but I’m happy with the results.
