Honestly that all depends on how big all of you are. My wife and I have fairly wide shoulders and we fit in it with plenty of room to spare. If you add our 8 year old son it is still plenty comfortable. If you add another kid in my opinion it’ll be a little tight which may not be bad in the colder months but I’d imagine would get pretty steamy in the summer. My wife and I have four kids, three of which are now young adults. We used the tent twice and once was my wife and I with our 8 year old and no annex. The second time was all of us and the three older kids were on air mattresses comfortably in the annex. My recommendation is utilizing the annex which is exactly why I bought it to begin with. I added the annex floor to the order when I bought the tent and I have to say it was well worth it.

I will say that the tent itself is rated for four people and is about the size of a queen size mattress if I remember correctly. If you add the annex, that provides an even bigger space. Overall you could comfortably have six people total and be comfortable.

What is the annex floor?

The annex is the part under the tent that sits next to the truck. There is a very heavy duty floor you can zipper into it so you aren’t sleeping directly on leaves or the like. It keeps the water out as well.
