Would love to see pictures of how people are mounting them underneath. I'm removing the side steps and going with AMP Power Steps - and want to come up with some rock rails that will work around the AMP Power Step and protect the doors.

Those look great! Will they take a huge hit with the weight of the truck of a rock ledge? How do they mount and can you post a pic up?

I like that they come out away from the truck and will offer a real step still. It looks like they sit at factory height or a tad higher maybe.

The other part I like is that there are no holes in the step plate. I have seen some sliders that are open with no step plate and others that are punched out and have 6 holes or so.

Since my dogs go everywhere with me, the last thing I want to see is a dog stepping into one of those holes and breaking a leg.

This is one clean design.

To my knowledge the only sliders attached to the frame in production are sold by Hefty Fabworks. RPG had some prototypes that did, but they're not a featured product. All others are bolted to the cab. If there's more I'm unaware, doesn't mean they don't exist though.

The red truck has solid tops just for that reason- his dog. He didnt want the dimples tearing up his paws.

Heres a funny pic of my truck in a ditch laying on the running boards. they can take some abuse. Big rocks ect. They protect the body well and give you more groung clearance. Also offer more protection in front for rocks coming off the front tires
