Other than making our own, does anyone know if there's a solution already out there? I just reached out to n-fab (www.n-fab.com) and I look forward to hearing back.

Anyone aware of any other options?

I haven't looked in a while, but at that point in time I did not run across any....though I am prone to being wrong at times.

I would be interested in a set of bolt-ons if the price and quality were right.

Brian and I have been talking about this for some time now. I've given him my input on the design and I know he has a local vendor he's talking to about making the customer rock rails/running board replacements.

I started a thread on this back last year on the other forum. I'm sure it's either vanished or forgotten in the wake of all the MPG threads.

Bolt-on welded tubes (dual tubes - one under the door/body and the other out-board of that) with some sort of covering - expanded metal, treadplate, whatever, between the two tubes to keep the stones from hitting the Raptor's sides.

Lemme know if you want my input and I'll find the email I sent to Brian...

If you really need underbody protection at that level maybe you bought the wrong truck? jk
Something like what this guy did?

Yupppers - something like that is what I think would be best. Except the units would be bolted to the frame not welded and some method of closing the gap between the two rails (expanded metal, diamond plate, sheet metal, etc.) would provide body protection similar to that provided by the stock running boards.

Maybe spray bedliner on some dimond plate and modify the stock units? Thats way the factory look and warranty will stay there and you will get all the underbody protection you want. I cant find much as far as bolt on kits go, and esp. not for the Raptor. The only place I have found is Rocky-Road and they dont do F150s, maybe they can fabricate you a custom one to base future Raptor rails on?

Yup, Line-X or some other spray-on material would be good. It's what I was thinking of since, as you said, it's similar to the stock units.

These units will have to be custom fabricated and once done and tested, others can be fabricated for other customers. It's the route Brian has been talking about taking just like with his custom lightbar.
